NHS Funding
If you qualify for NHS funding, your entire care costs can be covered. While eligibility is limited, other options exist. Request a Continuing Healthcare Checklist from your GP for a preliminary assessment, determining your entitlement to a Personal Health Budget (PHB).
A PHB provides individuals with disabilities or long-term health conditions more autonomy over their healthcare. You or your representative can coordinate with the local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to access funds for resources supporting your needs, including care. Local Authority Funding
Under the Care Act 2014, Local Authorities must assess all individuals with care and support needs, regardless of self-funding capability. Following a needs assessment, a financial evaluation determines eligibility for care funding.
